Basic Principle of How to Make Sesame Oil and Process
1. The pressing and solvent extraction method
Pressing and solvent extraction method force a certain pressure on sesame, squeezing out the oil or use organic solvent to extract oil.
Sesame → clean, rinsing → sesame seed fry → grind into thick liquid → pressing(organic solvent extraction) → oil separation by oseillation → filtering – sedimentation → refined oil product
2. Enzymatic technique
Enzymatic processing in the production of sesame oil use different affinity of oil and water, the proportion of oil and water to separate.
Sesame → clean, rinsing → sesame seed fry → grinding → water extraction → acid sedimentation → centrifugation (oil sesame protein isolated) → enzymolysis→ breaking of emulsion → sesame oil and protein
